This wing points at the Mellon Alchemy Collection, a Mary and Paul Mellon gift. About 300 medieval and Renaissance alchemy and occult manuscripts. Newton alchemy notes sit in the same curatorial neighborhood. Mary Mellon began the collecting in the 1940s after reading Jung. The gift reached Beinecke after she died at 41.
